I discovered Bettie through a
friend in high school. He would always make comments about
my hair being like hers. I didn't know who she was, little
yet what she looked like. Eventually my curiosity got the best
of me and I logged on the net and did a Bettie search. Her
image was incredible. She represented everything I wanted to
grow up to be. She exuded confidence and that's what I lacked
at the moment. Bettie has been a positive influence in my life
and I truly appreciate her work.
