Bettie Page may have left our world for another. But her pictures are here for us to admire. They're as alive right now as the were the day they were taken. Her spark is still so bright.

Bettie has given me so much. Before I had found her, I had questioned myself, and worried that my modeling might've upset people or made them think I was a bad person, and if it had, then I should have maybe stopped. Even though I wasn't hurting anyone, and only having fun! Self doubt is a horrible thing to have to go through. My Mother isn't in my life, and I think I missed out on the Mother/daughter things that girls/ladies blossom from by having.

I cut my fringe one night, a few days before finding Bettie through a quiz on Facebook. I felt an instant connection to her. I have her in a frame in my bedroom. A Motherly feeling of love wraps me with warmth when I look at her, and I know I'm doing the right thing.

She's taught me that it's ok to be me! It's such a simple thing to say, but it's a very profound thing to feel.

My children can now grow up with a Mum who's confident and happy within herself. In turn, passing it onto them as well. It feels nice to know you've made someone smile; made someone happy. I'm glad she knew she made people happy. A truly wonderful gift that she will forever be able to pass on to others. Thankyou Dear Bettie.
