During the 1950's, these photographs were banned by the US government for being too scandalous! Photographers were forced to form Camera Clubs in order to secretly photograph Bettie Page at undisclosed locations, including secluded beaches and abandoned farms. From these highly secret outings come some of the most gorgeous photographs of the one and only Queen of Curves, Bettie Page. These four summertime photographs, taken by Art Amsie, show the lighter side of the iconic pin-up queen. Art Amsie was one of the most legendary Camera Club members and was a personal friend of Bettie Page. These photographs are known to have been taken during 1955, at the height of Bettie Page's modeling career. The first print entitled, "Curtsy," is Bettie Page in a ravishing red one piece delightfully dipping towards the viewer with a devilish look in her eye that dares you not to take a peek at her wondrous curves. In Print Number Two entitled "Goddess", Bettie Page, a modern-day Aphrodite, strikes a sultry pose and stands strong and tall against the wind, confident that the viewer will be unable to look away from her luscious legs. Bettie discards all her inhibitions in the third print named "Frolic," as she playfully splashes in the receding surf. Naughty girls like to have fun in the sun, too! Finally, Print 4 entitled "Flirt" perfectly personifies Bettie's girl next door image; her brilliant smile, the cascading midnight hair, and a knowing wink all culminate in an image that makes Bettie both innocent and irresistible.
